Our mission at Sogwala Hope Foundation is to promote charity work through coordination of charity activites and help vulnerable children, elderly and disabled in the community. Our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives.
We realised we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently if we are united, hence we ultimately decided to launch Sogwala Hope Foundation.

Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Sogwala Hope Foundation emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Our values are founded on respect, intergrity, accountability and engagement. Officially launched on 30 May 2020, Sogwala Hope Foundation is driven by progressive ideas from its members who have been helping the Sogwala Community as different groups and individuals. Its strength is also driven by the bold decisions from its leadership and a strong foundation of support from the Sogwala community. Get involved!.

Committed to the Cause
Mr Mthulisi Dlodlo
Chairman and Co-Founder
Mr Mthulisi Dlodlo is a passion and invaluable member of the Organization whose zeal and enthusiasm led to the formation of the Foundation. His journey with the Foundation dates back to 19 October 2012 when he launched the Former Sogwala Students Facebook Group and is running the organisation's operations in Zimbabwe.
Ms Eunice Ncube
Co-Founder and Secretary
Ms Eunice Ncube is the current Secretary, Co-Founder and our most passionate veteran team member. She bring her years of experience and skills to the forefront in helping the organization grow and succeed. Her instrumental work for the Foundation through various initiatives is behind the Organization successful implementation of its objectives.
Mr Charles Mahlahla
Advertising and Marketing
Mr Charles Mahlahla joined Sogwala Hope Foundation with the vision and drive to improve upon our Non-Profit Organization. He is a dynamic young man who is an asset to the Organization with his skills on Advertising and Marketing, which he does with so much diligence ,experience and integrity.
Mr Stockle Dumbu
Treasurer
Mr Dumbu is one of the experienced, trustworthy and dedicated members of the Foundation. Before he joined the Foundation, he led a group of former area students in helping the community and its schools with various projects. On the Organization's inception, he brought the much needed experience and stability with his direct approach on issues.
Cuthbert Muzondiwa
Committee Member
Mr Cuthbert Muzondiwa joined the organization on it's inception and quickly helped it grow with his expertise on decision making. He is a successful businessman and veteran of the Organization based abroad who has been directly involved in community youth empowerment programmes.
Sipho Mgulatshani Moyo
Deputy Secretary
Sipho Mgulatshani Moyo joined Sogwala Hope Foundation with the experience, vision and drive to improve its charlity objectives. She is passionate about the girl child and is the brains behind the Foundation's drive that seek to protect and empower the girl child.
Harold Maphazima Nkiwane
Deputy Chairman
With us since our founding, Mr Harold Maphazima Nkiwane is also a veteran team member who brings in motivation to the team when the chips are down. His never-say-die attitude is an asset to the Organization as he also brings in years of experience in leadership skills.
Ms Nobuhle Ndlovu
Committee member and European Representative
Ms Nobuhle Ndlovu is a commitee member, veteran administrator and backbone of the Organization who also represents it in its European Chapter. A mother figure to many in the Organization, Ms Ndlovu is the brains behind the gofundme appeal account which she successfully launched for diasporans to contribute towards the Foundation's cause.
Nobesuthu Sidubi
Deputy Treasurer
Ms Nobesuthu Sidubi joined the Foundation on its inception becoming a committee member, then rising through its ranks to nDeputy Treasurer. She is truly a joy to be around and makes it a pleasure to work with everyone every single day. Her deep understanding and tackling of issues is a valuable asset to the Organization.
Similo Maphosa
Committee Member
Ms Similo Maphosa represents a new generation of young and future leaders with her intelligent approach on topical issues. She is a vibrant young woman with a lot of potential . She also joined the Foundation on it's formation and has contributed immensely towards its cause.
Innocent Bhebhe
Committee member
Mr Innocent Bhebhe is also a veteran and Co-Founder of the Organization who brings in a wealth of experience and stability to the organization. He is a leader in his own right who always rally Foundation's forces behind the scenes.
Gugulethu Bhebhe
Committee Member
Mr Gugulethu Bhebhe also brings in some much needed vibrancy and mobility to the Foundation having risen from the Foundation's ranks as its moderator to become a committee member

Humble, respectful, fun. These are the few words Sogwala Villagers describe Chief Sogwala, a man many call "uMdala" (Elder). Born Mdatshulwa Gwizi, the Chief was installed as Chief Sogwala having succeeded his father Paraffin Sogwala

We evaluate our success in this field by gathering qualitative and quantitative data, and using that information to measure shifts and changes from our baseline measurements. Chief Sogwala is a bold man who doesn't mince his words. In our 1 on 1 interview, he hailed former area student for remembering their roots of origin by forming the Sogwala Hope Foundation. He declared that a tree without its roots is as good as dead and encouraged former students to unite and continue pushing the Organization-s projects initiatives in his area of jurisdiction.

Sogwala Hope Foundation is the brainchild of former Sogwala students who came together to help their former schools and community having experience the same challenges while growing up there.
